Propaganda about Aluminum in Vaccines
When challenged, anti-vaccine influencers move the goal posts, but never admit that they are wrong.
What happens when anti-vaccine influencers are given new information that refutes their ideas and propaganda? Do they change their minds?
They usually do not.
Instead, they move the goal posts, coming up with new ideas and even more propaganda to try to push make their case.
Propaganda about Aluminum in Vaccines
For example, when we demonstrated that many countries have similar vaccine schedules as the United States, but have lower rates of SIDS, that clearly debunked the idea that vaccines cause SIDS, right?

Nope!
Turns out it wasn’t the hepatitis B vaccine or the DTP vaccine that these folks were worried about, it was just aluminum.

Aluminum that has been in vaccines for a very long time, but has only now become a problem for some reason.
But what about the idea that kids in Spain get less aluminum from vaccines than kids in the United States. Is that even true?
Let’s take a look!
In Spain, infants get:
rotavirus vaccines = no aluminum
3 doses of pneumococcal vaccines at 0.125 mg of aluminum each = 0.375 mg
3 doses of Infanrix Hexa (DTaP, IPV, Hib, HepB) with 0.5 mg of aluminum each = 1.5 mg
3 doses of menB with 0.5 mg of aluminum each = 1.0 mg
1 dose of menC (NeisVac-C) with 0.5 mg of aluminum = 0.5 mg
For a total of 3.375 mg of aluminum by the time they are a year old.
Why are we only going to a year old?
Well, we were talking about SIDS or sudden infant death syndrome, which by definition only includes children up to 12 months of age.
Versus the United States, where most infants get:
rotavirus vaccines = no aluminum
3 doses of pneumococcal vaccines with 0.125 mg of aluminum each = 0.375 mg
3 doses of Vaxelis (DTap, IPV, Hib, HepB) with 0.32 mg of aluminum each = 0.96 mg
flu vaccines = no aluminum
COVID vaccines = no aluminum
For a total of 1.34 mg of aluminum by the time they are a year old.
So infants in the United States actually get much less aluminum from vaccines than kids in Spain.
Even if you used other combination vaccines, like Pediarix or Pentacel, you still end up with kids getting less aluminum.
And also know that most of the aluminum in vaccines isn’t actually absorbed into your child’s bloodstream.
Aluminum simply acts as an adjuvant to help vaccines work better.
