The First 100 Days of RFK Jr As Secretary of HHS
Will putting RFK Jr in charge of HHS be Trump's biggest mistake?
What’s wrong with Dr. Phil sitting down with RFK Jr to discuss what’s been happening “100 days in” as Secretary of HHS?
Well, for one thing, we have only had to endure 75 days with RFK Jr as Secretary of HHS.
Remember, he wasn’t confirmed as Secretary of HHS until February 13…
The First 100 Days of RFK Jr As Secretary of HHS
Dr Phil has confused the first 100 days of the second Donald Trump presidency with the ‘administration’ of RFK Jr.
And tragically, RFK Jr uses the opportunity to continue to push misinformation and propaganda about vaccines.
So in addition to downplaying measles during the largest outbreak in 25 years, RFK Jr pushed the idea thimerosal was proven to be dangerous and that many kids are still getting mercury or thimerosal from vaccines!
“In 2005 I published an article in Rolling Stone um on thimerosal which is a mercury based preservative that is used in vaccines. It was taken out of some children's vaccines in 2003, but the same year the CDC recommended the flu vaccine which is loaded with mercury um for pregnant women in any month of of pregnancy, for children at six months, and every year thereafter. And they're actually getting more, a kid today could get twice, almost twice as much thimerosal as children in 2003, so there was never any break. And it's a it's a neurotoxin, a very potent neurotoxin. It caused it's associated with all kinds of neurological and autoimmune illnesses in kids.”
Secretary RFK Jr
If Dr. Phil had fact checked RFK Jr, he would have noted that:
Kennedy’s Deadly Immunity Rolling Stone/Salon article on thimerosal was retracted because it was filled with errors — that he wrote it should have kept him from becoming Secretary of HHS.
flu vaccines were never ‘loaded with mercury’ — in fact, they didn’t contain any mercury, but instead contained a small amount of thimerosal that worked as a preservative.
thimerosal free versions of nearly all vaccines became available when thimerosal was removed from vaccines, which itself was simply a precautionary measure
nearly all kids and pregnant women have been getting thimerosal free flu vaccines for many years now
many studies have shown that thimerosal in vaccines wasn’t actually harmful and it is not associated with neurological or autoimmune illnesses in kids
But there was no fact check from Dr. Phil.
When Dr. Phil asked Kennedy about our measles outbreaks, he:
compared our outbreak to Canada, implying that we shouldn’t worry because they have more cases.
compared our outbreak to Europe — the continent
brought back his idea that the MMR is a leaky vaccine — it’s not
again said that the MMR vaccine wanes — it does not. While measles antibody levels might drop a bit, because of the anamnestic response, most folks get lifetime protection after two MMR vaccines.
said that the combination MMR vaccine was never really safety tested, that there is some viral interference, and it’s linked to adverse effects they didn’t get in the separate vaccines. He also said that the mumps part of the vaccine never worked, and that mumps is a benign disease. — none of that is true
Our Secretary of HHS still wasn’t done yet though.
Next, Kennedy talked about how:
vaccines are the only medicine or medical product that is exempt from pre-licensing safety testing — of course, not true
vaccines don’t undergo long-term safety testing — not true, there are many long-term studies on vaccine testing
vaccines are not tested using placebos — not true, all vaccines are tested using placebos.
the CDC did a study on VAERS and it found only 1% of adverse events were reported — the Lazarus study. — This is actually the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Inc. study that was never completed and found is that all possible reactions, including minor reactions, like pain and fever, are not common.
Kennedy then talked about autism.
And as with his vaccine talk, it was almost all misinformation and propaganda that has been refuted a thousand times already.
Kennedy Must Go
Not that Kennedy was done after his interview with Dr. Phil.

He also blamed the Texas measles outbreak on Mennonites having religious objections to the MMR vaccine, which is not true.
“Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and your family from measles,” Dueck wrote. “Vaccinated individuals are far less likely to contract and spread the virus.”

Not vaccinating is a newer thing and reflects members being manipulated by anti-vaccine influencers.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is unfit to serve as Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary. Since taking office, he has used his position to advance health misinformation, dismantle public health services, and undermine HHS’s mission to “to enhance the health and well-being of all Americans.” His failure to endorse evidence-based medicine amidst a growing measles outbreak should immediately disqualify him from continuing to lead this Agency. His further actions to suppress information that is incongruous with his personal beliefs and participation in the reckless dismantling of essential health services demonstrates a lack of fitness to lead an agency whose work is to provide “effective health and human services and by fostering sound, sustained advances in the sciences underlying medicine, public health, and social services.” In the interest of our patients and the health of all Americans, Doctors for America calls for the resignation or removal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as HHS Secretary, echoing the American Public Health Association and their recent statement doing so.

Kennedy should be removed from office before he does even more damage to our public health systems.

I'm kinda sad you left out the equally batshit end of the Dr. Phil episode where a QAnoner (allegedly, I'm guessing - you'll see why) asked Kennedy about "all the poison in the contrails" (it is water vapor - contrails are water vapor) being "spread by the government" to make certain people sick, and Kennedy assured her that no part of HHS was part of a plot to poison people with airplane emissions...but DARPA at DoD probably would...(yeesh!)
When Michelle Obama wanted healthier diets for Americans and encouraged exercising, republicans lost their minds saying that they don’t want nanny states. They said leave our freedom fries alone. The irony.
